PC Building

2

I finished building my new PC. I very much enjoy the hardware side of wiring everything together and seeing the lights come on for the first time. The stress of "is this thing going to work?" really adds to the dopamine highs that hits upon successful run.

I needed to benchmark if everything was working properly, so I went to the graphically intensive video game that was destorying my last PC (unable to be run over about 40 FPS): Helldivers 2. My heart dropped when the FPS was not exceeding 110, but, as I later found out, that is more of a game issue than a hardware issue. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 ran incredibly (great game).

I wonder if getting into the hardware side of computing (Computer Engineering rather than Computer Science) would have been the better career decision. Only time will tell!

What is the point of this post

There is not much substance to this post, but I think I am going to like getting all of the ideas out of my head and out somewhere, even if it is never read by anyone (or by the close few who like to check up on me).
